Tatsuro Yamashita — FOR YOU | Japanese City Pop CD

Originally released in 1982, FOR YOU is the definitive Tatsuro Yamashita album and one of the most recognizable records in Japanese city pop. Its blend of polished funk, coastal pop, and late-night soul helped define a sound that continues to attract listeners and collectors worldwide.

From the opening rush of “SPARKLE” to the understated closer “YOUR EYES,” FOR YOU captures the cinematic optimism of early-1980s Japan: neon streets, open highways, and summer nights that never quite end.

This official Japanese CD edition features the album’s iconic original artwork and delivers a physical piece of Japan’s musical history straight from its country of origin.
